UK Core Inflation Falls from 9-Month Peak

The United Kingdom's annual core inflation rate eased to 3.5% in February 2025 from January's nine-month high of 3.7%, slightly below market expectations of 3.6%.
The annual CPI goods rate slowed (0.8% vs 1.0% in January) while the CPI services rate held steady (at 5.0%).
On a monthly basis, core consumer prices rose by 0.4%, reversing a 0.4% decline in January and marking the highest level in four months.
