UK Core Inflation Hits 3-Month High

The UK’s annual core inflation rate edged up to 3.8% in July 2025, compared with June's figure and market expectations of 3.7%.
It marked the highest level since April, driven by an acceleration in both CPI goods inflation (2.7% vs 2.4% in June) and CPI services inflation (5.0% vs 4.7%).
On a monthly basis, core consumer prices increased 0.2%, slightly above forecasts of 0.1% but easing from a 0.4% rise in June.
