The Business Outlook Survey indicator in Canada rose to 1.29 in the fourth quarter of 2020, continuing its recovery from the near-record low levels of the summer and autumn surveys and signaling improved business sentiment. Although about half of firms reported that their current sales are below pre-pandemic levels, most firms expect sales to increase in the next 12 months as the economy recovers.
