Japan Foreign Reserves Hits Near 3-Year High

Japan’s foreign reserves increased by $25.74 billion to $1.3 trillion in April 2025, hitting the highest level since mid-2022.
Total reserve assets were broken down into foreign currency reserves ($1.12 trillion), IMF reserve position ($11,609 million), SDRs ($60,081 million), gold ($89,813 million) and other reserve assets ($16,005 million).
Meanwhile, Japan's finance ministry revealed that it conducted no foreign exchange intervention operations for the period from January to March 2025.
