The Shanghai Composite climbed 1.13% to close at 3,956.6 on Thursday, while the Shenzhen Component added 1.50% to 14,048.9, as expectations for fresh policy support strengthened following the latest industrial profits data.
China's industrial profits increased 17.6% year-on-year to CNY 4.58 trillion in the first seven months of 2026, easing from an 18.7% rise in the January–June period.
