Investor sentiment was lifted by strong earnings from Microsoft and Amazon, whose shares surged after reinforcing confidence in hyperscaler investment and sustained AI-driven demand. In Japan, Advantest soared another 15.7% after raising its annual operating profit forecast by 35%, fueled by robust demand for AI-related chip-testing equipment. Other major technology gainers included Tokyo Electron (6.2%), Kioxia Holdings (2.9%), SoftBank Group (14.2%), Fujikura (12%), and Lasertec (13.7%).
