Frankfurt's DAX 40 fell more than 1% to trade below 25,400 on Thursday, retreating from one-month highs hit in the prior session.
The decline mirrored broader weakness across European markets as escalating tensions in the Middle East drove oil prices higher, while mixed earnings from major US technology companies reignited concerns over elevated AI valuations.
Meanwhile, investors also closely monitored earnings from European companies.
Most sectors came under pressure, led by technology stocks, while losses in banking, industrials and utilities also weighed on the market.
Infineon Technologies and Siemens Energy were among the top losers, each falling over 3%.
In contrast, SAP shares rose 0.5% after quarterly revenue exceeded €10 billion for the first time, supported by 26% growth in cloud revenue, prompting the company to raise its full-year revenue outlook.
Other top decliners included Siemens, Deutsche Bank, Bayer, Commerzbank and MTU Aero Engines, falling between 1.9%-2.5%.
