Frankfurt's DAX 40 gained ground to close about 1.4% firmer at 25,647, its highest since September 17, as optimism over corporate earnings tempered concerns over elevated oil prices and bond yields.
Meanwhile, protests across Europe and geopolitical developments remained under watch.
Software stocks and chipmakers including SAP (+3.5%) and Infineon Technologies (+2.2%) provided the main boost to the index, reassured by the quarterly results from Super Micro and SpaceX.
SAP is due to publish its quarterly results later in the day.
Adidas gained 1.7%, after raising its full-year earnings forecast following record quarterly sales.
Industrials and banks also advanced.
On the downside, Rheinmetall lagged, slipping 3.2%, folowed by Fresenius Medical Care (-2.6%), amid leadership uncertainty and cautious analyst sentiment ahead of Q3 results.
