Frankfurt’s DAX 40 rose to above 25,000 on Tuesday, supported by a rebound in global technology stocks as investors positioned for major earnings releases.
The US tech sector led the recovery, with the Nasdaq 100 up more than 1% as companies linked to artificial intelligence continued to attract demand.
Semiconductor maker Infineon jumped 5.8%, benefiting from renewed interest in chip stocks following stronger export data from South Korea and Taiwan.
Siemens Energy also advanced nearly 4% as investors focused on its role in supplying power infrastructure for expanding data centres.
Industrials were among the strongest performers, with Siemens gaining almost 2% and Airbus rising 1.3%.
Banks also moved higher, while healthcare stocks received a boost after Swiss pharmaceutical group Novartis reported better-than-expected second quarter sales and earnings.
