DAX Rebounds After Two Weeks of Losses

Frankfurt's DAX 40 edged higher to around 24,900 on Monday, attempting to recover after two consecutive weeks of losses driven by a sharp correction in AI-related stocks and escalating tensions between the US and Iran.
Brent crude climbed to its highest level in more than a month after the two countries exchanged a series of retaliatory strikes, fueling inflation concerns.
Investors are also looking ahead to Thursday's European Central Bank policy meeting, where rates are widely expected to remain unchanged following June's hike.
However, markets continue to price in two additional ECB rate increases by early 2027, with the first potentially coming as soon as September.
On the corporate front, the automotive industry is in focus after Tesla announced plans to rapidly expand production at its Grünheide plant near Berlin, while Salzgitter extended Friday's gains after the steelmaker raised its full-year earnings forecast.
