DAX Finishes Marginally Lower

Frankfurt's DAX 40 maintained a cautious tone on Tuesday, closing marginally down at 24,988, after two consecutive sessions of gains.
Attention remained centered on the earnings season and corporate updates across both sides of the Atlantic.
Meanwhile, markets await US jobs and inflation figures for January later this week, which are expected to provide clearer signals on the Fed’s next actions.
Among single stocks, Siemens Energy slipped 3.8% to the bottom of the index, amid a technical correction after Monday’s record high.
The company is set to release its quarterly results on Wednesday, with profits forecast to rise sharply.
Allianz slumped 2.6%, tracking the broader trend among insurers in the US and Europe on concerns surrounding the introduction of AI in the sector.
On the upside, Symrise jumped 6.2% after Goldman Sachs upgraded the stock, part of the broker’s more pro-cyclical outlook on European chemicals.
Brenntag and BASF moved in line, rising 5.2% and 4.6%, respectively.
