DAX Advances on Monday

Frankfurt's DAX 40 rose 0.6% to around 25,450 on Monday, following a weak performance the previous session, led by tech stocks, while continued declines in oil prices helped ease inflation concerns.

Constructive US-China talks ahead of their presidents' meeting on Thursday also supported sentiment.

Meanwhile, Germany’s regional elections dealt a major blow to Friedrich Merz and his CDU, with populist parties gaining ground on both the right and left.

The CDU secured just 4.9% in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, falling out of the state parliament for the first time, while Die Linke emerged as the strongest party in Berlin.

Siemens and Infineon Technologies were the top gainers, each rising more than 2%.

Other strong performers included MTU Aero Engines, Commerzbank, Deutsche Bank, Deutsche Post, Siemens Energy and SAP.

On the downside, Daimler Truck, Volkswagen, Henkel and Adidas were the biggest decliners, each falling more than 1%.

DAX Advances for 3rd Session
Frankfurt's DAX 40 rose 0.3% to cross 25,300 on Tuesday, marking the third session of advances, led by retailers and pharmaceutical shares, while falling oil prices and bond yields offered further support. Investors also monitored economic data and fresh corporate earnings across Europe. Germany’s annual inflation rate was confirmed at 3.3% in September, the highest level since December 2023, up from 2.9% in August. Zalando was the top performer, climbing more than 7%, followed by Fresenius SE & Co, Siemens Healthineers, Fresenius Medical Care and Bayer, each rising more than 4%. On the downside, tech stocks came under pressure, with Infineon Technologies plunging 4.8% amid renewed concerns over the massive investments required to develop AI infrastructure.

The DAX Index Opens 0.21% Higher
The DAX Index is up by 54 points or 0.21 percent on Tuesday. Top gainers are Symrise (3.15%), Vonovia (1.98%) and Deutsche Telekom (1.72%). Biggest losses came from Infineon (-4.41%), Siemens Energy (-2.36%) and Siemens (-0.53%).

The DAX Index Closes 0.76% Higher
The DAX Index gained 190 points or 0.76 percent on Monday to close at 25278 points. Gains were led by Rheinmetall (2.88%), RWE (2.17%) and Zalando (1.68%). Biggest losers were Infineon (-2.55%), Daimler Truck Holding AG (-0.85%) and Mercedes-Benz AG (-0.82%).
