DAX Falls on Friday

Frankfurt’s DAX 40 fell about 0.7% to around 25,500 on Friday, retreating after two consecutive sessions of gains and broadly tracking its regional peers.

Caution returned to European markets following a week packed with central-bank decisions, despite another drop in oil prices.

Meanwhile, traders focused on diplomatic developments in the Middle East, with attention now turning to next week’s planned meeting between US President Trump and Gulf-state leaders on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.

Most sectors traded lower, with telecoms, autos and insurers among the biggest decliners, while technology stocks outperformed.

Deutsche Telekom dropped over 3%, making it the top loser.

Conversely, Infineon Technologies surged 3.7%, following a bullish outlook from Nvidia’s CEO, who predicted the company would sell twice as many chips over the coming year.

AI-linked shares Siemens Energy and Hochtief also posted solid gains.

DAX Advances for 3rd Session
Frankfurt's DAX 40 rose 0.3% to cross 25,300 on Tuesday, marking the third session of advances, led by retailers and pharmaceutical shares, while falling oil prices and bond yields offered further support. Investors also monitored economic data and fresh corporate earnings across Europe. Germany’s annual inflation rate was confirmed at 3.3% in September, the highest level since December 2023, up from 2.9% in August. Zalando was the top performer, climbing more than 7%, followed by Fresenius SE & Co, Siemens Healthineers, Fresenius Medical Care and Bayer, each rising more than 4%. On the downside, tech stocks came under pressure, with Infineon Technologies plunging 4.8% amid renewed concerns over the massive investments required to develop AI infrastructure.

The DAX Index Opens 0.21% Higher
The DAX Index is up by 54 points or 0.21 percent on Tuesday. Top gainers are Symrise (3.15%), Vonovia (1.98%) and Deutsche Telekom (1.72%). Biggest losses came from Infineon (-4.41%), Siemens Energy (-2.36%) and Siemens (-0.53%).

The DAX Index Closes 0.76% Higher
The DAX Index gained 190 points or 0.76 percent on Monday to close at 25278 points. Gains were led by Rheinmetall (2.88%), RWE (2.17%) and Zalando (1.68%). Biggest losers were Infineon (-2.55%), Daimler Truck Holding AG (-0.85%) and Mercedes-Benz AG (-0.82%).
