The DAX Index is losing 98 points.

Losses were led by Deutsche Bank (-3.22%), BASF (-1.85%) and Daimler Truck Holding AG (-1.42%).

Offsetting the fall, top gainers were Fresenius Medical Care (1.29%), Rheinmetall (1.25%) and MTU Aero Engines AG (0.98%).

DAX Down for 2nd Day
The DAX 40 fell about 0.5% to around 25,300 on Tuesday, the lowest since July 24 and marking the second day of losses, led by banks, while elevated global bond yields and rising oil prices continued to weigh. Deutsche Bank and Commerzbank dropped 3.2% and 1.2%, respectively, after Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan warned of a 10% drop in third-quarter fees. Attention also turned to the US Federal Reserve's interest rate decision expected on Wednesday, where investors anticipate a tightening of monetary policy. Meanwhile, tech stocks, including Infineon Technologies (-0.8%) remained weak following calls from industry leaders to slow AI development. Other top losers were BASF (-2%), Daimler Truck (-1.6%), Vonovia (-1.5%) and Brenntag (-1.3%).

The DAX Index Closes 0.50% Lower
The DAX Index fell 128 points or 0.50 percent on Monday to close at 25441 points. Leading the losses are Siemens Energy (-8.04%), Infineon (-7.68%) and Hochtief (-5.19%). Top gainers were SAP (5.18%), Scout24 (3.35%) and Fresenius Medical Care (2.91%).
