The DAX Index is dropping 57 points.

Leading the losses are Porsche Automobil (-2.01%), Volkswagen (-1.85%) and Continental (-1.58%).

Top gainers were Deutsche Bank (2.09%), Adidas (1.62%) and Commerzbank (1.50%).

DAX Down for 3rd Day
The DAX 40 fell 0.3% to around 25,900, hovering at one-month lows and marking the third session of losses. The continued escalation in attacks between the US and Iran put further upward pressure on oil prices, stoking inflation concerns and increasing expectations of tighter monetary policy. European bonds also extended their sell-off. Auto stocks and energy-sensitive industrials faced heavy selling pressure. Volkswagen dropped 3.3% after news that it will be removed from the Euro Stoxx 50 index on September 21. The automaker's shares have fallen nearly 27% so far this year amid growing Chinese competition and an ongoing restructuring. BMW and Mercedes-Benz Group also declined more than 1% each. On the upside, Adidas gained over 2%, benefiting from Barclays’ upgrade to “Overweight” from “Equal Weight,” with the bank citing the September Sporting Goods event and Innovation Day as catalysts.Deutsche Bank rose 1.8% after Goldman Sachs upgraded it to "buy" from "neutral".
