The DAX 40 closed broadly flat at 26,320 on Monday, remaining at record levels, as gains in financial and selected industrial stocks offset losses in telecommunications and consumer shares.

Siemens Energy advanced 1.5%, tracking US power generators with high exposure to power-hungry AI infrastructure.
Financials mostly outperformed, with Allianz rising 1.1% after announcing plans to reduce supplier coverage by up to 70% for Vistry.
On the downside, Deutsche Telekom led the declines, falling 3.2% after reports that its US affiliate, T-Mobile US, had cut more than 4,500 jobs in the first half of the year.
Beiersdorf and Brenntag each lost 2.2%, while Bayer fell 1.3% and Hannover Re slipped 0.3%.
