The DAX 40 inched up toward 25,100 on Thursday, the highest in over a week, marking the third straight session of gains.
Investors weighed domestic economic measures while taking comfort from reassuring comments on inflation made at the ECB Forum in Sintra.
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz's ruling coalition unveiled an ambitious reform package today, featuring €10 billion in tax cuts for lower-income groups, pension reforms and measures to expand affordable housing.
Among top gainers, Bayer surged more than 4% after announcing it would consolidate its US business with the controversial weedkiller glyphosate into a separate subsidiary called Ruveon.
Furthermore, Deutsche Bank upgraded Bayer shares to "Buy".
Banks, autos and telecomunication companies also performed strongly.
Meanwhile, traders continued to rotate out of technology and chipmaker stocks.
Infineon Technologies and AI-enabled companies such as Hochtief and Siemens Energy posted losses of more than 2%.
