The DAX Index is up by 99 points or 0.39 percent on Wednesday.

Top gainers are Adidas (3.09%), Continental (2.72%) and Daimler Truck Holding AG (2.47%).

Biggest losses came from RWE (-2.35%), E.ON (-2.05%) and Deutsche Boerse (-1.26%).

DAX Edges Higher
Frankfurt's DAX 40 rose 0.5% to around 25,300 on Wednesday, holding close to the highest level since January, following a weak session the day before. Investors awaited concrete developments in US-Iran negotiations despite renewed tensions, anticipating that a deal could be achieved and restore energy flows through the Strait of Hormuz. The auto sector led the gains, buoyed by Volvo's strong performance and EU monthly car sales data. Continental, Daimler Truck, Mercedes-Benz Group and Volkswagen advanced more than 2% each. Adidas, Symrise, MTU Aero Engines and Heidelberg Materials also advanced firmly, adding between 2.5% and 3.2%. On the downside, E.ON (-2.6%) and RWE (-2.4%) posted the biggest losses.

DAX Finishes Lower
Frankfurt's DAX 40 closed about 0.8% down at 25,184 on Tuesday, halting a two-day advance, amid profit-taking and renewed caution over developments in the Gulf. Hopes for progress on a US–Iran deal eased after fresh US strikes on Iran and threats from Tehran, which pushed oil prices higher. Meanwhile, ongoing optimism around AI helped cushion the decline. Top losers were MTU Aero Engines (-3.5%), Deutsche Bank (-2.1%), Fresenius SE & Co (-2%) and SAP (-2%).On the flip side, Zalando (2.3%), Infineon Technologies (0.8%), E.ON (0.7%), and Continental (0.6%).posted the biggest gains.
