Germany Current Account Surplus Widens in July

Germany's current account surplus widened to €21.2 billion in July 2026 compared with €10.9 billion in the same period a year earlier.
The goods account surplus widened to €21 billion from €16.4 billion a year earlier, while the services deficit narrowed to €8.3 billion from €9.7 billion.
In contrast, the secondary income deficit widened to €6.7 billion from €5.5 billion, while the primary income surplus narrowed slightly to €15 billion from €15.7 billion.
In the first seven months of 2026, the current account surplus widened to €129 billion from €123 billion in the same period of 2026.
