The Shanghai Composite rose 0.91% to close at 3,681.5 on Wednesday, while the Shenzhen Component climbed 2.02% to 11,473.2, rebounding from steep losses in the previous session, buoyed by a resurgence in artificial intelligence sentiment.
The optimism came amid anticipation of upcoming earnings reports from US tech giants Alphabet Inc., Microsoft Corp.
and Amazon.com Inc. Domestic hardware leaders such as Zhongji Innolight and Victory Giant Technology also face high expectations as investors demand solid financial results to justify current valuations.
Technology stocks led the session's gains, with Cambricon Technologies climbing 4.93%, SMIC rising 2.0%, NAURA Technology jumping 3.6%, Eoptolink Technology gaining 3.2% and Zhongji Innolight soaring 10.28%.
Meanwhile, investors are watching the ongoing Communist Party's Fifth Plenum, which concludes on Thursday, for further policy signals and clarity on China's economic priorities.
