Consumer prices in São Paulo rose 0.25% month-over-month in February 2026, slightly above January's 0.21% gain.

Price pressures accelerated in food (0.42% vs 0.11%) and housing (0.38% vs -0.14%), while deflation in personal expenses eased (-0.17% vs -0.36%).

On the other hand, inflation moderated across transport (0.21% vs 0.46%), healthcare (0.11% vs 0.20%), clothing (0.28% vs 1.28%), and education (0.00% vs 5.12%).

Consumer prices in the city of São Paulo in Brazil increased 0.21% month-over-month in January 2026, lower than 0.32% in the previous month. Prices rose the most for education (5.12%), clothing (1.28%), transportation (0.46%), health (0.20%), and food (0.11%), In contrast, price declined for personal expenses (-0.36%), and housing (-0.14%).

Consumer Prices in Sao Paulo Edge Up
Consumer prices in the city of São Paulo in Brazil increased 0.32% month-over-month in December 2025, the most in three months, compared to 0.2% in November. Prices rose the most for transportation (0.93%), personal expenses (0.92%), clothing (0.68%) and food (0.16%). On the other hand, prices of education were little changed and cost of housing edged down 0.1%.
