Considering the first half of the year, tourist arrivals slumped 75.1 percent to 4.51 million.

The number of foreigners visiting Turkey slipped 99.3 percent year-on-year to 29,829 in May of 2020, hit hard by pandemic travel restrictions. Arrivals fell mostly from Bulgaria (down 97.2 percent, accounting for 22.75 percent of total visitors), Georgia (down 98.3 percent, accounting for 10.26 percent) and Ukraine (down 98.9 percent, accounting for 7.68 percent). Considering the first five months of the year, tourist arrivals slumped 66.4 percent to 4.29 million.
