Taiwan’s foreign exchange reserves rose to USD 602.45 billion in April 2026 from USD 596.89 billion in March. The increase was primarily driven by investment gains from foreign exchange reserves management, fluctuations in the exchange rates of major currencies against the US dollar, and central bank’s efforts to intervene to reduce sharp fluctuations in capital flows and support stability in the foreign exchange market.
