It is published monthly and is based on a survey of 400 households in Asunción and the metropolitan area. It consists of the Economic Situation Index (current assessment vs. one year ago) and the Economic Expectations Index (expected situation in one year). It also includes questions about savings and the purchase of durable goods to complement the analysis. A reading above 50 indicates optimism, while a reading below 50 indicates pessimism.
