Global market sentiment improved following the Democratic victory in the US Congress, which will likely constrain President Trump's legislative agenda.
Meanwhile, investors continued to monitor geopolitical developments and the ongoing earnings season.

Among key movers, Heidelberg Materials jumped more than 8% after the company reported better-than-expected Q3 2026 profit and revenue, while also raising its cost-efficiency targets.
Continental surged over 6% after stronger-than-expected Q3 operating profit led the company to raise its 2026 margin and cash flow targets.
Deutsche Bank and Commerzbank gained 5.1% and 4.7%, respectively.
On the downside, defense giant Rheinmetall faced pressure, dropping over 2%.
Deutsche Borse, Hochtief and Siemens Energy also declined.
