DAX Falls on Wednesday

Frankfurt's DAX 40 closed about 1.4% down at 23,588 on Wednesday, reversing losses from the prior day and lagging behind its European peers.
Traders monitored intensifying tensions in the Middle East, while also assessing a batch of corporate earnings.
Rheinmetall led losses, slipping over 7%, after the defense giant reported mixed results and disappointing 2026 guidance.
Henkel slumped 3.5%, after saying it expects sales to continue growing this year, but warned of a slower start due to adverse foreign exchange effects.
SAP shares fell 2.5% and failed to benefit from Oracle's results.
Meanwhile, Lufthansa fell 0.4%, pressured by war-related market turbulence and a looming pilots’ strike later this week.
On the upside, Brenntag and Volkswagen rose 3% and 1.7%, respectively.
