DAX Gains Ground, Posts Weekly Gain

Frankfurt's DAX extended early gains to close about 0.6% up at 24,028 on Friday afternoon, the highest since mid-November, notching a second straight weekly gain.
The latest PCE inflation data from the US supported expectations of a Fed rate cut next week.
Meanwhile, the Eurozone GDP growth was revised slightly higher to 0.3% in Q3 from the preliminary estimate of 0.2% and above Q2's 0.1% expansion.
Traders also remained focused on geopolitical developments regarding a potential Ukraine peace deal.
Automakers BMW (+3.5%) and Mercedes-Benz (+1.8%) were among the top performers, with a delayed EU's ban on combustion engines firmly priced in.
Other notable gainers included Infineon Technologies and BASF, up 2.9% and 2.3%, respectively.
On the flip side, RWE (-1.2%) and E.ON (-1.1%) posted the biggest losses.
For the week, the index booked a 0.8% gain.
