Bund Yield Holds Near Multi-Year High Ahead of ECB Meeting

Germany's 10-year Bund yield rose to 3.18% on Wednesday, remaining close to the multi-year high of 3.2% reached in May, as investors awaited Thursday's European Central Bank policy decision while monitoring escalating tensions in the Middle East.
The ECB is widely expected to leave interest rates unchanged after raising them in June, as policymakers adopt a cautious stance amid mixed economic data and heightened geopolitical uncertainty.
Even so, markets continue to price in roughly two additional rate hikes by the end of the year, with the next move potentially coming in September.
Meanwhile, concerns that the Middle East conflict could disrupt global oil supplies have kept inflation risks in focus.
Brent crude climbed to its highest level in more than a month after US President Donald Trump ruled out imminent talks with Iran, warned of further military strikes, and pledged retaliation if Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen disrupt shipping through the Red Sea.
