Exports from Luxembourg increased 1.4 percent year-on-year to EUR 1.07 billion in September 2017, driven by sales of mineral fuels and lubricants (73.1 percent); manufactured goods of primary materials (10.1 percent); food and live animals (9.7 percent) and machinery and equipment (9.1 percent). Shipments rose mostly to Germany (7.8 percent), France (2.9 percent) and Belgium (4.4 percent) but fell to the US (-13 percent). Exports in Luxembourg averaged 0.72 EUR Billion from 1988 until 2017, reaching an all time high of 1.18 EUR Billion in March of 2011 and a record low of 0.33 EUR Billion in January of 1988.
