Also, inflation was steady for food & non-alcoholic beverages (2.12 percent, the same as in July) and cost increased at a slower pace for transport (3.2 percent from 3.33 percent); housing & utilities (3.82 percent from 3.87 percent); furniture & household equipment (0.54 percent from 0.61 percent) and recreation & culture (1.48 percent from 1.87 percent). Meanwhile, prices continued to decline for miscellaneous goods & services (-0.84 percent from -1.35 percent). On a monthly basis, consumer prices went up 1.36 percent, up from a 0.68 percent drop in July.
