Imports in Luxembourg surged 6.7 percent year-on-year to EUR 1.62 billion in November of 2017, mainly due to higher purchases of mineral fuels and lubricants (20.8 percent); crude materials, inedible, oils, fats and waxes (16.1 percent); transport equipment (11.3 percent); manufactured goods of primary materials (11.0 percent) and machinery and equipment (9.6 percent). Imports advanced from the US (20.4 percent), France (14.4 percent), Belgium (8.9 percent) and Germany (1.3 percent). Imports in Luxembourg averaged 1.04 EUR Billion from 1988 until 2017, reaching an all time high of 2 EUR Billion in October of 2011 and a record low of 0.36 EUR Billion in January of 1988.
