The industrial confidence index in Colombia rose to 3.7 in January of 2021, the highest reading since September of 2020, from -1.6 in the previous month. Output expectations for the next quarter improved sharply (29.4 from 10.6 in December) and the stock of finished products decreased further (-2.5 from -0.4). Meanwhile, the indicator measuring the current level of orders continued to plunge (-20.9 from -15.8).

The industrial confidence index in Colombia rose to -1.6 in December of 2020 from -6.7 in the previous month which was the lowest reading in four months. Output expectations for the next quarter improved sharply (10.6 vs -4.4 in November) and the stock of finished- products went down (-0.4 vs 7). Meanwhile, the indicator measuring the current level of orders continued to plunge (-15.8 vs -8.6).

Colombia Business Sentiment Worsens in October
The industrial confidence index in Colombia fell to -3 in October of 2020 from 6.1 in September which was the strongest reading in seven months, amid concerns over a recent surge in coronavirus infections. There was a deterioration in output expectations for the next quarter (9.3 vs 29.5 in September) and in the current level of orders (-16.2 vs -15.3). Meantime, the stock of finished products went up (2 vs -4.1).
