European Stocks Close Flat for 2nd Session

European stocks closed mixed on Tuesday as markets continued to monitor risks to inflation from higher energy prices and a generally strong earnings projections signaled in the first-quarter results.
The Eurozone's STOXX 50 closed flat at 5,851 and the pan-European STOXX 600 closed 0.2% higher at 611.
Crude oil and natural gas prices remained elevated amid low expectations of an incoming agreement between Iran and the US to restore energy supplies in the Middle East.
Sovereign yields in the Eurozone rose further, denting credit-sensitive banks with UniCredit, BBVA, and Intesa Sanpaolo dropping around 1%.
Industrial giants also pulled back with Siemens and Schneider falling 1.5% and 2%, respectively.
On the other hand, SAP soared 6% after launching a new platform in partnership with US AI giants.
