Both the STOXX 50 and the STOXX 600 rose 0.7% on Tuesday, extending gains of around 1% from the previous session to reach fresh record highs.
The advance was led by mining stocks, which benefited from a rebound in precious metals following a historic sell-off.
Investors also digested fresh corporate news, while France’s inflation rate came in below expectations at 0.3%, the lowest level since 2020.
Fresnillo (+4.5%), Boliden (+3.9%), ThyssenKrupp (+3.8%), Anglo American (+2.5%) and Antofagasta (+3.0%) were among the top performers.
Heavyweights such as ASML Holding (+1.4%), Siemens (+2.0%), SAP (+1.5%), Banco Santander (+1.6%), ABB (+1.8%) and UBS (+1.6%) also posted solid gains.
By contrast, Orsted shares were little changed after the company agreed to sell its European onshore business to Danish investment firm Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners.
Publicis slumped more than 4% as its results failed to impress investors.
