Eurozone consumer confidence dipped to -13.1 in December 2025, following an upwardly revised -12.8 in November and exceeding the preliminary estimate of -14.6.
Despite the modest decline, the index remains in negative territory.
In the broader European Union, consumer sentiment held broadly steady at -12.5 in December, compared with a revised -12.4 in November.
Consumers’ confidence in their household’s past financial situation improved slightly, but this was offset by more pessimistic expectations for future household finances and the overall economic outlook in their country.
Intentions to make major purchases over the next 12 months remained unchanged.
