Euro Area consumer confidence was at -14.9 in September 2025, up from -15.5 in August and in line with the preliminary estimate.
In the broader European Union, sentiment also improved, up 0.5 points to -14.3 from -14.8 in August, as consumers were less pessimistic about their household’s future finances and reported stronger intentions to make major purchases over the next 12 months.
Meanwhile, their assessments of past household financial conditions and expectations for the broader national economy remained largely unchanged.
