Imports to Chile advanced 14 percent year-on-year to USD 5504 million in November of 2017, boosted by purchases of intermediate goods (17.2 percent vs 13.4 percent), of which diesel (90.7 percent) and oil (71.5 percent); consumer goods (16.2 percent vs 14.6 percent) as medicines (38.7 percent vs 29.9 percent) and vehicles (34.9 percent vs 19.4 percent) and capital goods (3.9 percent vs 14.1 percent). Imports in Chile averaged 2901.33 USD Million from 1991 until 2017, reaching an all time high of 7865.59 USD Million in October of 2012 and a record low of 492.60 USD Million in February of 1991.
