Imports to Chile advanced at a slower 6.6 percent to USD 4.99 billion in July 2017, led by purchases of consumer goods (16.7 percent), of which vehicles (19.9 percent) and capital goods (7.4 percent). Meanwhile those of intermediate goods fell 0.1 percent, namely energy (-6.2 percent). Imports in Chile averaged 2863.61 USD Million from 1991 until 2017, reaching an all time high of 7865.59 USD Million in October of 2012 and a record low of 492.60 USD Million in February of 1991.
