Canada Ivey PMI Rises to Highest Since April 2022

Canada’s Ivey PMI rose to 64.3 in August 2026 from 55.1 in July, beating forecasts of 56.2 and reaching its highest level since April 2022.

The reading ended a two-month consecutive decline.

The employment index increased to 55 from 52.2, while the inventories index rose to 61.4 from 54.9.

Meanwhile, the prices index accelerated to 80.4 from 75.5.

The supplier deliveries index fell to 41.5 from 45.9.

The supplier deliveries index rose to 45.9 from 44.3 after remaining broadly stable around 44 since April, while the inventories index increased to 54.9 from 50.9, staying in expansionary territory.

Meanwhile, the prices index eased to 73.7 from 78.0, indicating that price pressures softened, though they remained elevated. The supplier deliveries index slipped to 44.3 from 44.7, remaining broadly stable around the 44 level since April, while the inventories index rose to 50.9 from 47.9, returning to expansionary territory.
