Ibovespa Sets Fresh High as Vale and Banks Rise

The Ibovespa rose about 0.5% to hover near 162,000 on Wednesday, hitting a fresh record amid gains for major commodity giants and key banks.

Vale rose 0.7% and Petrobras gained 0.5%, with major banks also rising (Itaú +0.5%, Banco do Brasil +0.3%, Bradesco +0.4%).

Meanwhile, Prio gained nearly 2% after reporting a 55% jump in November output, reflecting its larger stake in the Peregrino field.

Also, Gerdau climbed around 1% after completing the early redemption of USD 500 million in 4.25% 2030 bonds.
