The value of outstanding loans in Brazil rose 0.4% in July 2025 to R$6.7 trillion.
The increase was mainly driven by a 0.6% rise in household credit to R$4.2 trillion, partially offset by a 0.1% decline in corporate credit to R$2.5 trillion.
On a 12-month basis, credit growth slowed slightly to 10.7% from 10.8% in June.
By segment, corporate lending accelerated to 9.5% from 8.9%, while household lending decelerated to 11.5% from 11.9%.
