Sao Paulo Consumer Prices Barely Grow in August

Consumer prices in São Paulo, Brazil’s most populous city, edged up 0.04% month-over-month in August, easing from a 0.28% rise in the prior month.

Prices were nearly unchanged for education (+0.01%), while transportation (-0.97%), food (-0.11%), and clothing (-0.06%) all saw small declines.

On the other hand, prices increased for health (+1.06%), personal expenses (+0.68%) and housing (+0.18%).
