Brazil Vehicle Production Contracts for 2rd Month

Vehicle production in Brazil fell by 6.5% to 200,764 units between June and May 2025 following a 5.9% drop in the previous period.

Compared to June 2024, production fell by 4.9%.

The drop in production reflects increased competition from imports and manufacturers' caution about short-term sales.

Year-to-date however, production is up 7.8%, at 1.23 million units.

Meanwhile, exports totaled 50,700 units in June, up 75% on the previous year.

Imports reached 38,650 units, up 0.9% year-on-year.

Domestic registrations fell by 5.7% in the month, to 212,900 units.
