Capacity utilization increased across several categories, including durable consumer goods, which rose to 70.6% from 68.9% in April, and non-durable consumer goods, which edged up to 73.1% from 72%. Consumer goods overall also increased to 72.7% from 71.5%. Intermediate goods inched higher to 75.2% from 74.9%, while food and beverages rose to 73.2% from 72.4%.
