Taiwan’s wholesale price inflation eased further to 7.14% year-on-year in December of 2022, from an upwardly revised 9.11% in the previous month. It was the lowest reading since March of 2021, amid a slowdown in costs of quarrying & mining products (33.55% vs 43.20% in November); water, electricity & gas supply (28.85% vs 29.88%) and manufacturing products (4.78% vs 6.49%). Meanwhile, those for agriculture, forestry, fishing and animal husbandry products advanced faster (8.66% vs 5.22%).
