Italy’s consumer confidence index fell to 90.3 in October 2026, down from 91.2 in September, marking its lowest level since November 2022.
The reading was broadly in line with market expectations of 90.9.
According to the data agency, the overall decline primarily reflected worsening assessments of the country's economic outlook, which fell to 82.9 from 88.0, rising unemployment expectations, and reduced willingness to purchase durable goods under current conditions.
Current sentiment eased to 88.7 from 90.4.
In contrast, personal sentiment improved to 93.0 from 92.4, while future sentiment remained stable at 92.3.
