Canada Average Weekly Earnings Increase in October

Average weekly earnings of non-farm payroll employees in Canada increased 2.2% year-on-year to C$1,312 in October 2025, easing from a 2.9% rise in September.
The strongest earnings gains were recorded in forestry, logging and support activities (+7.6% to C$1,545.59), real estate and rental and leasing (+7.4% to C$1,374.15), and administrative and support, waste management and remediation services (+7.0% to C$1,114.57).
By contrast, earnings declined in wholesale trade (-4.9% to C$1,486.34), arts, entertainment and recreation (-2.4% to C$744.54), and finance and insurance (-0.9% to C$1,773.63).
On a month-on-month basis, average weekly earnings were broadly unchanged in October.
