Poland’s corporate employment fell by 0.8% year-on-year in January 2026, bringing total employment to 6.40 million. The drop exceeded market expectations of a 0.5% contraction and deepened from the 0.7% decrease recorded in the previous month, marking the 28th consecutive month of declines in corporate employment. On a monthly basis, employment fell by 0.2%, following a 0.1% decline in December.
