The Commerce Ministry expects headline inflation to average 1.8%-2.2% in 2026, although price pressures may remain elevated through year-end partly due to a low base effect. Despite the breach, officials expect the increase to be temporary, while the Bank of Thailand has maintained its policy rate at 1% amid subdued domestic demand.
