Meantime, prices went up softer for food and non-alcoholic beverages (3.2 percent compared to 3.4 percent); transport (1.9 percent compared to 2.2 percent) and recreation and culture (0.5 percent compared to 0.8 percent), and fell for housing and utilities (-0.9 percent the same as in September) and communication (-1.3 percent compared to -1.0 percent). On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.4 percent after a 1.5 percent gain in the previous month.
