The net external demand contributed positively, as exports rose 2.4 percent (0.3 percent in Q4) and imports went up at a slower 2 percent (0.6 percent in Q4). Meantime, household consumption (0.4 percent from 0.5 percent in Q4) and fixed investment (1 percent from 1.2 percent in Q4) eased while government expenditure was steady at 0.5 percent. Year-on-year, the GDP grew 2.3 percent compared to a downwardly revised 1.6 percent in the previous period.
